I became rather attached to one of our pumpkins this year, and with the addition of a santa hat, decided to keep him until Christmas.
I assumed sub zero temperatures would simply freeze his friendly expression into place until spring. But unseasonably warm temperatures slowly transformed Jack, as we called him, into a very grumpy looking old man in desperate need of his dentures. It was fun while it lasted, and we respectfully parted ways a few days ago. I know Jack would have joined me in wishing all of you Happy Holidays and all the best for the New Year!
