Halloween Pins

P1190100

This is an easy craft to help kids get in on all that Halloween action. They can choose to make traditional Halloween characters, or run wild with their imagination.

Materials

  • sturdy felt for base
  • soft felt, craft foam, and other craft materials in Halloween colours
  • scissors
  • glue
  • googly eyes
  • pin backs
  • glue gun

Instructions

1. Sturdy felt makes a great base for making pins because it easily supports decorations without going floppy on you. When cutting out the base, make sure it is large enough for the pin back.

2. Glue on decorations made from felt, foam, and other craft items, such as beads and googly eyes. Press between two heavy books for several hours or overnight.

3. Attach pin backs using a glue gun, and you’re ready to show them off.

  1. These are great. They would make an easy, fun craft at the classroom Halloween parties that parents usually sponsor. They could be pressed in books right in the room and have their pin backs glued on the next day by one volunteer who comes back to do that! Fun! I think middle school age kids would love them!

  2. These are just plain fun! I love the skeleton and mummy ones the best!
