Painted Hands

P1170294

The human body is an amazing canvas, which we adorn daily with both temporary and permanent expressions of who we are. Think makeup, hair dye, tattoos and piercings. Hands make a particularly cool canvas for kids, allowing them to easily paint their designs and bring them to life with motion.

Materials

  • face painting kit

Instructions

This is a great rainy day activity, and if kids need some convincing, have them look at the amazing hand paintings by artists Annie Ralli, Guido Daniele and Mario Mariotti. It will surely inspire them to come up with some designs of their own.

I recommend using a face painting kit because of their hypo-allergenic, non toxic paints. They’re easy to use and to wash off. And don’t forget to take some photos, before you wash your wonderful creations down the drain.
