Painted Pages

Pages in old books, newspapers and magazines can provide beautiful canvases for painting. Tracking them down in yard sales and second hand shops is fairly easy, and with a little watercolour paint, they can be turned into something worthy of framing. I recently saw some beautiful examples in a store, and thought it was finally time to give it a try.

Halloween Skins

Sounds a tad creepy doesn’t it? It’s really just a term used to describe what happens to acrylic paint when it’s mixed with Pouring Medium. Once dry, the paint becomes flexible and is referred to as an acrylic skin. And since I have LOTS of Pouring Medium left from pumpkin decorating, I thought this would be a great opportunity to make some Halloween inspired designs. They can easily be turned into pins, magnets, or anything else that inspires you.

Pickled Bits

Nothing says Happy Halloween quite like an unsettling display of putrefied-looking body parts neatly stuffed into jars. It’s a perfect way to begin the season. So gather up your boxes of Halloween decorations so we can engage in the fine art of extreme pickling.
